Advanced Flight Review - RPAS

Barnstormer is recognized as an Advanced RPAS Pilot reviewer by Transport Canada. Reviews are normally conducted from Mid-April to Mid-October subject to field access and weather conditions.

RTK Services

Purchase a base station if there is not one near you or to achieve better accuracy than the current GEODNET network provides. GPS/RTK ready units (2 types) capable of achieving 1-2 cm accuracy will be shipping November 2023 ($270 - $540), add a Rod mount antenna for laying out Ground control points for Orthophotography or LiDAR scanning etc.

Note: The simplest install is to use an existing 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection (required) within 9 metres of the small white antenna (as seen above) with the cable routed inside a building (protected from the elements) close to a 120V outlet for a USB-C power block. The Base Station package pictured above is for 12V DC installation using a TELTONIKA RUT240 cellular modem with remote reset capabilities. The small white GPS antenna must have an unobstructed 'full' view of the sky. No trees or buildings blocking a 10 deg. view above antenna base. Prices are subject to all applicable taxes and may change based on availability. All RTK related sales are final no refunds.
